Samuel M. Schindel, D.D.S., A.B.O.

Dr. Samuel Schindel received his undergraduate, dental and orthodontic training at New York University, where he graduated with honors, winning an award from the American Academy of Dental Medicine for proficiency in the field of dental medicine and the study of disease processes of the oral cavity. He additionally earned a commission in the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of captain. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, as well as a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Northeast Society of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists. He has been providing the highest standard of orthodontic care for over 40 years.

Robert H. Schindel, D.D.S., A.B.O.

Dr. Robert Schindel received his undergraduate training at Binghamton University. He graduated with honors for outstanding academic achievement and was awarded membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to do his dental and orthodontic training at the School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook. He has been a professor of orthodontics at the School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook since 1994, teaching in the postgraduate orthodontic, postgraduate pediatric, postgraduate oral biology and pathology and undergraduate dental programs. Dr. Schindel has authored and mentored numerous research projects at the school and has subsequently been published numerous times in international orthodontic journals, including the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, The Journal of Clinical Orthodontics and The Angle Orthodontist. He has also lectured and moderated scientific sessions nationally and internationally. He is also proud to have been appointed to the Editorial Board of The Angle Orthodontist, one of the most prestigious orthodontic journals in the world. While having held many leadership posts in the Suffolk County and New York Dental Society, he is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, as well as a member of the American Dental Association, the Northeast Society of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists. Additionally, he is a member and on the Board of Directors of the prestigious Angle Society of Orthodontics (less than 5% of orthodontists around the world have been accepted for membership). He has been practicing orthodontics in East Northport for more than 20 years.

Devin J. Klein, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Devin Klein, a John Glen High School graduate, is a lifelong resident of East Northport. He completed his undergraduate education at Loyola University in Maryland and attended the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, graduating magna cum laude from both programs. He received awards for excellence in orthodontics, periodontics and the treatment of special needs patients and was inducted into OKU, the national dental honor society. Dr. Klein continued his education at Stony Brook, earning a masters of science degree in oral biology and pathology while completing a three year orthodontic residency. Dr. Klein is also an accomplished researcher. As a member of Dr. Schindel’s research team, he studied three dimensional outcomes of orthognathic surgical treatment in conjunction with Invisalign and three dimensional facial changes of patients undergoing palatal expansion.
